It was a good stay. The room (3), a single ensuite, was a little smaller than I expected but it had all you would need, with quality bedding, towels, a comfortable bed, chair, with cushions, along with other things you would expect like a chest of drawers and a wardrobe (cupboard). The room had tea/coffee making facilities, which were replenished daily. I didn’t try the breakfast during my stay but upon exciting the property in the mornings, the aroma coming from the breakfast room smelt good and tempting. The location of Tower House 1066 is very good. An easy 15-minute walk, downhill, to the train station and to the seafront, a little further on. You don’t have to walk though as there is a frequent bus service (20 and 22), which runs about every ten minutes. The buses seem to start in Hastings town centre, then run along the seafront road and then turn into London Road at St Leonards, which leads past the station and up to a stop close to where the B&B is located. The buses follow the same route to Hastings. A few minutes’ walk from the B&B is a Lidl supermarket and in a different direction, with a slightly longer walk, is an ASDA supermarket, at Silverhill. If coming from central Hastings (or Eastbourne) on the bus, you can also catch the 99 bus which takes a different route to the ASDA supermarket. It also passes the Lidl on its journey, as well. Then it is a short walk from either to the accommodation. Often, when I stay in a hotel or B&B, I encounter arrogant people who slam doors, come back at all hours shouting and yelling, TV’s up loud or talking loudly into their mobile phones for long periods. I had no such issues when staying at the Tower House. In fact, it was so quiet I heard more bird song (my room overlooked lots of greenery at the back) than any faint sounds which could be heard, occasionally, from guests in adjoining rooms or other parts of the B&B.

Lovely old house and garden with character.staff were helpful and friendly if they werent at reception you just pressed a bell and a staff member would appear. Room was big enough for my grand daughter and I. Only had Breakfast 1 day out of the 3 as we had other plans.it was nice with cereals juice toast and then choice of cooked breakfast jams etc with the toast and my own coffee pot which i liked. Comfy bed good shower Tv usually ok flickered on n off the first night was hardly in the room so it didnt really matter. Tea coffee kettle no hair dryer but i asked at reception and they kindly gave me one. Lots of hangers and 2 chairs in the room.

Breakfast not bad & was served quickly, location was good as close to the sea, parking was a slight issue as there seems to be an old abandoned camper van directly outside, the garden was a nice added bonus which included a small smoking hut but could do with a little tlc, overall fair value for money.

The clean facilities, and well maintained garden was brilliant during the hot summer period. This was the second time staying at the tower and it was just as good as my first stay in 2022. The staff members were very polite and helpful. They had allowed us to have our own drinks and the clerk even took my beer and placed them in the fridge so they were nice and cold. The garden room was very clean, and the bed was comfortable. Very good location to the oval within 15 minute walk. This hotel is a gem.

Good location, quiet road, very comfortable room. We could have had breakfast, for an extra cost, but decided to eat out. It is possible to walk to the sea and into Old Hastings, but it is quite a way, and uphill all the way back!

We stayed here for a week and had a lovely stay. Everyone at the property was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and had everything we needed. It is in a good location not far from the train station and the town of St Leonards. A nice 20 minute walk along the front to Hastings too.We had a cream tea one afternoon which the owners do for £10. The table was set up in the garden for us and the tea and scones were delicious would highly recommend. They have not been doing them long but it was lovely and is offered to the public as well as guests so for the price if you are local or staying as a guest I definitely recommend you visit and book. A lovely setting the garden is very pretty and we were luck enough to have the owner James play the guitar for us and sing some songs. He was very friendly and made us laugh an unexpected extra which made our afternoon.😃 I can not speak highly enough about our stay. Thank you to The Tower House 1066 we will definitely be returning in the future.

Easy to find, plenty of free street parking and staff really friendly and helpful. Was also perfect location to stay whilst visiting our friends in St Leonards on Sea and Hastings for a day trip before returning to London.
